popschema is the new concept designed by blackswan for Interior Designers that resets the design standard for headboards.
The popschema headboard has two components.
popgrid provides the structural back for the headboard to match the bed size.
There are a range of poppanels so that you can create any configuration you like. There is an almost infinite variety of configurations by varying sizes, shapes and colours. See some examples here. We don’t put limitations on your imagination!
You’re a creative person. You might decide you want it to be different. Today, tomorrow, next week, next month. RIGHT NOW!
Go for it. Pop the panels off and put them back on however you want.
New colour scheme? Change of taste? Change of mind? Change the cover.
We can reupholster the panels easily and cost effectively, but the poppanels have been designed to reupholster on site. So you could do it yourself. Just order replacement covers in any fabric and we will send them to you if you prefer.
Because the popgrid and poppanels are all schemed on a consistent layout, all the poppanels can be fitted to all different sizes of popgrid. This means they can be removed, repaired, reupholstered or simply just relocated. They are designed to be cradle-to-cradle sustainable.
Not only that, but popschema also includes the option of a popdivan with matching poppanel styling for visible divans.
As Interior Designers, you will have your favourite fabric suppliers so we aren’t going to narrow down the infinite range. We have accounts with all major contract fabric manufacturers, such as:
- Bridge of Weir
popschema was designed for our sister company Reupholstery Limited as part of a specific initiative, but it was such a successful execution of the design that we have decided to release it before the rest f the initiative is ready.
The name popschema has a historical basis derived from our owners, the Stannah family (we are a proud member of the Stannah group of companies).
Pop Stannah is the affectionate name for Leslie Stannah, father to Brian and Alan, and grandfather to Jon, Patrick, Nick, Alastair and Helen.
It was Pop who essentially rebuilt the Stannah business after the devastation of the Second World War.
